FINALLY a good collection during NYFW honestly I wish the Row would take their label to Paris but i suppose they really love being an ~american~ brand. otherwise NY fash-on week is becoming such a joke. almost as bad as L.A. fashion week honestly! rather embar. bUT THE ROW. at the moment my style is caught in somewhere in the middle of lots of different things. half the time want to wear costumes. some of the time i get really dark and gloomy and fashion-y and then the times when i want to dress like a mexican tween girl from the early 2000s. my daily uniform consists of black skinny jeans with black basketball shorts over them and one of my many black pullovers and my black fitted cap and my army cargo coat. otherwise im kind of lost in the style department lately. i think im just sick of fashion at the moment, i feel as though i've done all of the looks that i posibly can...80s, 90s, punk, grunge, goth, bondage, chola, color blocking, blahblahblahblah and basically everything else bores me. but today i found this rather inspiring.....

especially the leopard. I of course hopped on the leopard train as soon as i saw the givenchy menswear collection but after seeing nearly every single man in L.A. doing leopard and of course i never want to look the same as anyone so I've been quite over it. but this restored my obsession! also, leather tshirts and that beautiful shirt that looks like its made from the hair of a baby deer! I LOVE. im sure i could have it cheaply made. also coloured trousers. I did a color block look a la Jil Sander back in summer and now im dying to do another one! i'm looking forward to experimenting more with color because I feel wearing so much black can kind of get mundane...dont get me wrong. I love wearing all black but there is something fun about colour. Wearing it makes me feel rather taboo, which is quite exciting. However I'm not a fan of those hipster fox tails that are on these bags....COME ON PHEOBE!

about a week after i bought this ring i was carrying out a big box full of shoes down the hallway after a shoot and ran into a pillar and scuffed it, one month later and I have accidentally banged it on tons of things, so its pretty damaged. o well, once it breaks more i think it will look kinda cool. and there is always the option of having it repainted? see it below:

NEW YEARS EVE:

So after frantically trying to come up with a good new years eve outfit for an entire week I decided to let loose.....and as you can see by the end of this post, i had REALLY let loose. And my outfit wasnt even that great...i mean, i wanted it to be REALLy special but I just ended up looking like a mall goth. But hey, ITS STILL A LOOK. After searching and searching for plans I ended up going to my old pal Christian's haus party. I'm in Texas visiting still, so options were slim considering its TEXAS and that I left my fake I.D. in sebastian's wallet and also left my 59fitty cap at the airport but i scooped up another one right away at lids as soon as I landed. Anyway I would have taken photos of the other people at the party but they were OF COURSE poorly/boringly dressed so it looks like my two best texans and I were the only ones who took up this role of film. DO you live for panda's Cher Horowitz look? Everyone at the party did, however they were not living for my drunken antics. SO, i was THAT GUY who got their friends thrown out of the party....heheheheeeee ~enjoiiiiii~

And thats exactly what happened this time, except in the end it ended up looking quite egyptian, no? The gold chains, & gold panther broach (fastening the wings of the rubber poncho) and the hair-do has a strange pharoah-like vibe to it? EVEN THOUGH my inspo was more 90s thug status. The idea of a ghetto diva bitch wearing those givenchy couture chains with cornrows in her hair makes me practically wet myself....it would b 2 gewd 2 b tru. & The black electrical tape around my fingers was my attempt at a subtle tribute to my idol michele lamy. And can we talk about this mister T photo? lol wtf @ the crossed out PCP and a spoon that probably contains pre-melted heroin? do you really have to tell people not to do that? However, pot & cigarettes are totally A.OK in my opinion.

speaking of egyptian you should watch these videos from the dior haute couture s/s 2004 collection. It's one of my first fashion memories. The colored scarab accessories are probably of the most covetable pieces of jewelry that I could only dream to own. Looking back at it now it kind of makes me sad that Haute Couture does not live up to this level of opulence or ( i hate to use this term) avant garde-nes in this day and age.

I know that I usually suck at consistently doing anything and this blog is a prime example. I go on random kicks and spurts where I feel like writing and documenting and then i fill the in between with whatever I can, like photos of me taken at parties. In some ways I feel like I run my own FUCKYEAHCODYFITZSIMMONS.TUMBLR.COM type of website. The real excuse why I haven't been doing much documenting or posting is because I don't leave my loft very often anymore. Basically all I have done in the last 3 weeks: lay in bed all day, watch movies, drink coffee, chainsmoke, and makeout with this really sweet boy. BUT don't fret, lots of exciting things are coming up. as i'm sitting here in my apt chainsmoking and listening to tacky 90s pop songz, extremely overstimulated & over-caffeienated (have had far too many diet cokes this evening + gave this haute boy my number tonight at MBAR after months of flirting with him) ANWAY since my loft is newly empty (got rid of sum excess baggage lately) and is now photo ready, I felt compelled to show you two of my latest obsessions

1. MY TALL TEE

i mean, do i love a cholo..

A very long time ago before i started wearing dresses and long tops I made a statement about wearing a tall tee as a dress but never followed though. Now that i've been wearing all kindz of dresses and skirts I finally stumbled upon this ULTRA GANGSTA, ULTRA TALL, TEE SHIRT. At a trip to my local goodwill today my roommate/life-partner MATTHEW held up this white tee. Initially, I thought he held it up as a joke, and then secretly lusted after it. When I realized he was being for real, I almost died. After basically talking him out of buying it for himself, i slipped it on. And though the fabric is really rough and cardboard like, I still felt the need to pay the damn dollar and ninety-nine cents. It's kind of like the solution to my missing complex geometries lanky dress. {[R.I.P.]} only my CG tee was black, and fit much slimmer.

I've been so into sporty/gangster inspired fashionz all summer (see here and here and here ) and this will translate that inspiration perfectly through the rest of the summer and into fall.

Since I just bought it today I naturally havent worn it yet. But I was messin' around and farted this look out. I didnt want the thug inspo to be too obV, so i paired it with this lightweight coat that I bought about 6 months ago and never wore because i h8d the shiteous gold buttonz. But the other night I tore them off and I have been dying to wear it ever since. COOL OFF SOON, OKAY LA? And put it on with my rag&bone spandex paneled jeans that i NEVER wear, leather cuff, and sum creeper bootz.

2. HOW LONG MY HAIR IS GETTING.

I've been growing out my hair for months in order to get it rick owens' length (FML his name is used too much in my blog, PROMISE he isnt the only designer i like) It's been a long and painfully slow journey, and there has been so many moments where i just wanted to grab the buzzers and shave it all off. But, after wearing it in a ponytail or back in a cap for the last month, I let it down today. and I liked wut i saw.
